House Rules and Policies

Morning Tea
1. Tea / instant coffee items are set up in your room for use at any time in the morning.
2. Staff generally comes up to the kitchen at 7 am. Specific tea can be served between 7.30am- 9am along with biscuits.

Breakfast
1. Staff generally decides, may ask you, or else you can also let him have any preferences. Options are generally eggs in different styles, paranthas, idli and sambhar, pohe, upma, poori-aloo etc. Choice is limited to one Indian item, and eggs-to-order.
2. Breakfast will be served until 10.30am. No breakfast will be served after 10.30 AM.

Lunch
1. Please inform in advance if you are not going to be home for lunch; or if there is any unexpected change of plans while you are out.
2. If you wish to take packed lunch, you will have to come up with ideas and work alongside our staff to get your picnic hamper ready. Some ideas- parantha rolls (veg, non-veg), kebabs, salad, sandwiches, etc.
3. Lunch is typically served from 1.00pm.- 2.30pm . No lunch will be served after 2.30pm
4. The staff rest between 3-5pm and we would request that they should not be disturbed.

Dinner
1. Our staff have a reasonable repertoire of putting out a wholesome home-style dinner meal. You could check with them at lunchtime. in case you have specific preferences or want something lighter like a khichdi, soup-salad and toast.
2. For Dessert, there is a choice of local Indian sweetmeats/ ice creams/ fresh or canned fruit and in case of a special occasion, our hosts can help you order a cake ☺.
3. Dinner is typically served at 9 pm. No dinner will be served after 10.30 pm.
4. Extra Bonfire is charged as listed below

Bonfire
1. A bonfire can be set up and is chargeable (Rs 1500 per night).

Tea-Time (5pm) Snacks (Included at Request)
1. If you wish to have a light snack, there is enough variety of namkeen and biscuits in the store and our staff can serve the same; if you would prefer a heavier/ hot snack, you could ask them to make something –– toast and cheese, pakoras, sandwiches . etc. Limited to one hot snack per evening.

Important Note:
1. If your Meal charges are fixed and do not vary according to actual personal consumption (or unconsumed meal items) during the meal; or by specific (lesser) menu items requested for.
2. Kids over 12 years are considered adults and will be charged as such for meals.
3. Meal charges include not just the cost of ingredients, but the cost of establishment including but not limited to staff, energy, utilities, and the imputed cost of real estate.
4. Breakfast is inclusive in tariff
5. All male groups are not allowed
6. Please note that the bathtub does not hold water, but it can be used as a shower area

Housekeeping
1. Our staff starts making the beds and clearing up the room around 9am.
2. The washrooms are cleaned by 12pm, in case you use the washroom later, it may remain like that till the next morning.
3. There is an iron available to iron your own clothes. Clothes will not be ironed by our staff.
4. Towels – please identify and keep a track of your bath towels. We prefer not to wash towels daily to conserve water; spare towels are available in all bathrooms if required.
5. If there are children with you, we would appreciate your supervising them so they do not dirty surfaces, create spills, damage artefacts and curios, tease the dogs, or damage plants, etc.

General
1. We do not allow more than 3 persons per room. The third person will be charged for an extra bed @2000/- per night.
2. We keep seasonal fresh fruits, if you need any other fruit please ask our staff if they could get it from the market (as available)
3. There are board games and books available in the living room. Please put them back in their respective boxes for future use.
4. Geyser system – Our staff turns on the geyser first thing in the morning and switch off when the guests are ready.
5. The flowers at Clifton are special – aside from the gardens, do visit the greenhouse at the back to see what is new; we grow some of our flowers, greens, herbs, and berries.
6. Pets are not allowed
